AdventHealth East Orlando and AdventHealth Waterford Lakes ER seeking a Laboratory professional with leadership experience to join the team. You will lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensure accurate testing and reporting, and train new staff in a fast-paced hospital lab environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field, 3+ years in clinical lab work, and at least 1 year in leadership.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.

Aufgaben

• Lead and participate in laboratory quality improvement activities.
• Manage quality assessment, oversight, problem solving, scheduling, staff interviews, performance input, training, and competency evaluations.
• Perform pre-analytical activities related to laboratory testing including equipment maintenance, documentation, inventory control, specimen collection, processing, cleaning, and calibration.
• Participate in laboratory performance improvement activities and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Complete tests and analytical procedures accurately and in line with standards, including proficiency testing and regulatory requirements.
• Post-analytical reporting of results, including highly abnormal results, and provide support information for testing across age groups.
• Read and interpret complex test results and serve as a resource for complex tests.
• Lead instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices; oversee quality control/testing.
• Provide orientation and training to new employees and students; document training.
• Ensure safety policies, PPE use, hazardous waste handling, and training; SOPs and document control.
• May transport hazardous waste and complete related training.
