AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking an experienced Laboratory Services Leader to oversee department performance, quality initiatives, and staff development. You will drive compliance with regulatory standards and coordinate with leadership to ensure optimal laboratory operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in medical laboratory science, 5+ years clinical lab experience, and 1+ year of leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a medical laboratory field.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• MLS/ASCP certification considered or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and participates in laboratory performance improvement activities, promoting team building and patient safety.
• Manages budgeting, department metrics, goals, quality initiatives, and labor productivity.
• Oversees staff scheduling to align with workload and minimize overtime.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting body standards and regulatory requirements.
• Represents the laboratory in leadership meetings and provides expert technical input.
• Reads, examines and interprets complex test results to address complex tests and procedures.
• Maintains instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices.
