Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in La Grange, IL, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead a hospital laboratory team and drive performance improvements. You will coordinate staff training, manage clinical education experiences, and support safety and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee pre-analytical activities, equipment maintenance, inventory control, and provide guidance to phlebotomists and support staff to achieve high performance and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Regulatory compliance with clinical laboratory standards.
• Experience in phlebotomy supervision and staff guidance.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement activities and resolves service issues.
• Assists leadership with staffing, orientation, training, and coaching.
• Coordinates clinical experiences for students in affiliated programs.
• Oversees pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Provides technical and support information for lab testing across age groups.
• Ensures safety policies and PPE usage are followed.
