Qualifications

• Must ensure departmental compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Demonstrates phlebotomy expertise and related lab skills as assigned.
• Ability to reason, solve problems, and exercise judgment under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Participates in performance improvement activities and monitors staff performance.
• Assists department leadership with staffing, interviewing, orientation, training, coaching, and competency assessment.
• Coordinates and facilitates the clinical experience of students in affiliated education programs.
• Leads committees or teams and supports special projects as assigned.
• Maintains neat, organized workspaces and oversees post-analytical activities.
• Follows safety policies including PPE use, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling; completes required training for hazardous waste.
