Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor in La Grange, IL. You will lead a team, oversee testing, quality, and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement to ensure excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, performance evaluations, instrument maintenance, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, clinical laboratory experience, and knowledge of CLIA/DNV/CAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical laboratory science or related field preferred.
• Experience leading laboratory teams in a hospital or clinical setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage laboratory staff scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Oversee instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control testing.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, CAP and other accrediting bodies.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support testing needs and strategic initiatives.
