Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field with 3–5 years of progressive laboratory experience including supervisory experience; or equivalently 7+ years with leadership responsibility.
• MLS/MT certification (ASCP or recognized certifying body) required.
• Preferred: multi-site/health system laboratory experience and leadership training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily laboratory operations at the assigned site, ensuring workflow efficiency and quality.
• Supervises, coaches, and supports laboratory staff, including scheduling and performance management.
• Ensures compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA and state regulations; participates in inspections and corrective actions.
• Collaborates with Regional Laboratory Manager to implement policies and system-wide initiatives.
• Monitors quality indicators and drives continuous improvement for accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
• Coordinates staffing resources and workload distribution across shifts.
• Serves as a point of contact for providers and staff to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
