Job summary

Beacon Health System seeks a Lab Manager to direct operational, technical, staffing, quality, and regulatory functions of Laboratory Services. You will partner with the Director of Laboratory to set goals, manage budgets, and drive continuous quality improvement while ensuring exceptional patient care and service excellence.

This role requires supervision across a highly complex laboratory, adherence to CLIA, Joint Commission, CAP, and state regulations, and active involvement in quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MLS/Medical Technology or biological sciences.
• Must qualify as Technical Supervisor and General Supervisor per 42 CFR rules.
• CAP qualification within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of laboratory to ensure high-quality, timely services.
• Develop and manage short- and long-term goals and budgets.
• Supervise staff, recruit, evaluate, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, Joint Commission, CAP, Medicare, and state regulations.
• Oversee quality management, proficiency testing, and regulatory reporting.
• Represent the lab to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain LIS proficiency and coordinate training and competency.
• Collaborate on capital purchases and supply chain with service providers.
