Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified as a phlebotomy technician; prior blood-drawing experience or formal training.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection by phlebotomy with proper patient preparation and labeling.
• Enter test orders into HIS/LIS systems and verify ABN compliance.
• Process specimens according to established guidelines and maintain safety.
• Assist with waived tests and quality control activities.
• Train new staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
