UM Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD seeks an experienced laboratory leader to direct, supervise and coordinate the clinical laboratories and walk-in services. The role ensures quality patient care, regulatory compliance and effective operations across multiple lab sections.

The position requires a Bachelor's in medical technology, ASCP certification, and 5+ years of hospital laboratory leadership experience; Masters is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science.
• Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
• Master’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Direct, supervise and coordinate functions across hospital laboratory sections.
• Maintain high quality patient care and compliance with laws and standards.
• Lead budgeting projections and manage expenditures within the laboratory.
• Ensure training, competency assessment and personnel records.
• Oversee outreach and collaboration with recruitment and HR.
• Maintain policies on QA, QC, safety and procedure manuals.
• Drive process improvements and scheduling across all sections.
• Support and supervise laboratory staff in daily operations.
