Job summary

1103 Team Member Services seeks an experienced laboratory leader in Tarpon Springs, FL to direct clinical testing operations and ensure regulatory compliance. You will mentor staff, oversee budgeting and quality initiatives, and coordinate specimen workflow, while maintaining a safe, efficient lab environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a medical lab field, 5+ years of clinical lab experience, and leadership acumen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or equivalent with CLIA pathway.
• Experience leading a laboratory team and coordinating staff.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety policies including PPE use and hazardous waste handling and completes required training.
• Leads laboratory performance improvement activities and promotes teamwork and patient satisfaction.
• Manages budgeting, department metrics, quality initiatives, inventory, and labor productivity.
• Oversees staff scheduling and ensures alignment with workload to reduce overtime.
• Reads and interprets complex test results; serves as a resource for addressing complex tests and procedures.
• Represents the laboratory in leadership or technical meetings and ensures regulatory compliance.
