Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Senior Laboratory Manager to join our Tampa laboratory. The role directs daily operations, manages staffing, trains supervisors, and ensures quality and regulatory compliance while meeting client service metrics.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License with 5+ years of leadership in a high-volume lab and a BS in a chemical/biological science or related field. Bilingual abilities and ASPC/AMT certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License.
• 5+ years or more supervising or leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operational activities of the department, including technical and non-technical operations.
• Manage staffing and production schedule to ensure adequate coverage and appropriate overtime use.
• Supervise, train and mentor supervisors and departmental staff.
• Ensure the laboratory meets SLAs and client service metrics (TAT).
• Resolve client inquiries and operational issues in collaboration with leadership and QA.
• Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, State, ISO and other regulatory requirements.
