The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to provide technical and scientific oversight of daily operations, including supervision of testing personnel and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results.

The ideal candidate will lead quality control, proficiency testing, and staff competency assessments, while maintaining compliance with CLIA regulations and fostering ongoing education and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or equivalent
• 5 years of clinical laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
• 3–5 years in a clinical laboratory leadership role preferred
• Histology and Cytology pathway qualifications if applicable (HTL/CT)
• ASCP qualifications aligned to job scope may be required

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and testing
• Supervise personnel and manage staffing, orientation and scheduling
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of patient test results
• Maintain quality control and proficiency testing programs
• Assess staff competency and provide ongoing in-service education
• Evaluate and document competency semiannually during the first year and annually thereafter
• Lead continuous improvement and troubleshooting of testing procedures
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety in the lab
