Job summary

AdventHealth in Illinois seeks an experienced laboratory leader to oversee clinical operations and ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance. You will guide staff, implement performance improvements, and mentor new personnel within a high-volume medical laboratory setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a lab science, 5+ years of clinical lab experience, 1+ year of leadership, and ASCP or AMT certification. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology, or equivalent with ABHES/CAAHEP criteria.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and participates in laboratory performance improvement activities to promote team building, engagement, patient satisfaction and safety.
• Provides orientation and training to new employees and students, documenting the process.
• Ensures adherence to the Corporate Compliance Plan and applicable regulations; protects patient information at all times.
• Monitors staff productivity and provides coaching to increase quality and productivity.
