Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred college coursework in healthcare or science.
• Preferred: associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field.
• Minimum one year of paid customer service experience; healthcare or call center experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and use healthcare information systems and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage incoming laboratory calls with professional, timely assistance.
• Provide information on test requirements, specimen collection, handling, and turnaround times.
• Assist providers with test selection and order entry; resolve routine order issues and escalate complex cases.
• Monitor worklists and queues to ensure timely completion; coordinate routine courier requests when needed.
