Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
• Associates degree in sciences and/or lab training experience is a plus.
• 1 year of full-time laboratory training or experience preferable.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care and laboratory services as part of the team.
• Collects venous and capillary specimens from patients per SOPs.
• Enter orders in LIS, prepare specimens and process them for testing.
• Transport specimens from off-site facilities or within the hospital as needed.
• Maintain collection supplies and ensure proper safety and PPE use.
• Assist with training new staff and orientation as needed.
