EMSL ANALYTICAL INC in South Pasadena, CA, is hiring a Laboratory Administrative Assistant to support the laboratory manager and analysts. Responsibilities include shipping/receiving, logging samples, and entering data into the LIMS.

The role requires a high school diploma, US work authorization, and strong MS Office skills. Candidates should be able to multitask in a high-volume environment and communicate effectively with clients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Experience in administration, data entry and customer service.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent communication with clients and staff.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into the LIMS system.
• Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness.
• Quality control of samples to ensure integrity.
• Transfer samples based on priority to custody locations.
• Coordinate and perform sample-related activities including shipping and receiving.
• Generate reports and invoices; input analyst data for client reports.
• Ensure final reports are prepared and client results reported timely.
• Assist with client questions via phone, email, and in person.
• Act as liaison between clients and laboratory staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
