Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. seeks a part-time Laboratory Administrative Assistant in San Leandro, CA to support the laboratory manager and analysts. The role handles shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging of samples and keeps the client informed. Responsibilities include data entry, file review, and coordinating sample custody and reporting.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a pay rate of $20 per hour. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely and without sponsorship.
• Experience in administration, data entry, and customer service.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with clients.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand and sit for varying times; lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into the LIMS system.
• Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness.
• Quality control of samples to ensure sample integrity.
• Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving and administration.
• Generate reports and invoices; enter data produced by analysts into the system.
