Job summary

Amoy Diagnostics is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support daily lab operations, specimen handling, and receiving materials. You will help schedule transport, intake specimens, and ensure proper storage.

You will perform accessioning, post-analytical support, and maintain quality records under GDP/GCLP SOPs. Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.

Responsibilities

• Support client service activities with professional communication.
• Schedule or transport samples to and from the laboratory for processing.
• Perform receiving activities to ensure materials ordered are accurate.
• Accessioning to ensure samples are received and stored correctly.
• Provide pre- and post-analytical support including long-term storage and documentation.
• Manage safety data sheets for materials received into the lab.
• Complete quality records in line with GDP/GCLP and SOPs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Laboratory Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth laboratory operations and may be involved in scheduling specimen transportation, specimen intake and proper storage of specimen. Will also perform receiving functions of materials ordered to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support client service activities as assigned, ensuring professional and timely communication.
• Schedule or transport samples to and form the laboratory for processing
• Perform additional administrative or operational duties as required to meet business and regulatory needs.
• Performs accessioning to ensure samples are received and stored accurately and identified correctly.
• Pre and Post analytical support, including long term sample/ slide storage, documentation/ record storage
• Performs receiving activities to ensure materials that have been ordered are accurate
• Manages safety data sheets for materials being received into the laboratory
• Performs safety walks including performing inspections on emergency showers and eyewash stations
• Complete quality records in compliance with regulatory requirements, GDP / GCLP and standard operating procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Proficient with computer systems, data entry, and laboratory software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Education, skills and / or work experience requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.
