Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks a Laboratory Administrative Services Supervisor to oversee daily administrative operations for the laboratory, including billing, courier and support staff, and the production of monthly statistics and financial reports.

The role supports the Director in managing client and administrative services, working within hospital policies and interdisciplinary teams to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s in business or sciences preferred.
• 5 years medical administrative experience, clinical lab setting strongly preferred.
• 2 years prior supervisory or lead role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises laboratory administrative support staff, including scheduling, work assignments, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.
• Directs, plans, and manages assigned section(s) of administrative functions in alignment with the department goals.
• Organizes and coordinates services, oversees operations and budget in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Participates in strategic development of the department to meet needs.
• Works on interdisciplinary teams and projects to advance organization goals.
• Assists the Director in preparing Clinical Laboratory budgets.
• Other duties and special projects as directed by the Director.
