Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks an Assistant Director of Pharmacy to provide operational leadership, administrative oversight, and clinical management for the hospital's pharmacy department.

You will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy, drive quality improvement, manage pharmacy staff, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and optimize formulary management and medication safety across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school.
• Minimum of 3 years hospital/ambulatory pharmacy experience with supervisory duties.
• Strong knowledge of hospital/ambulatory practice and clinical therapeutics.
• Demonstrated leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Analytical ability to interpret clinical, operational, and financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for multidisciplinary teams.
• PA Pharmacist license (RP) required; Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and administrative oversight for the pharmacy department.
• Collaborate with Director of Pharmacy to drive quality improvement.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, DEA, State Board, and Joint Commission.
• Oversee budget, drug expenditures, and waste reduction.
• Improve formulary management and medication safety with clinical staff.
• Oversee pharmacy automation and EHR workflows.
