Job summary

Jefferson Health in Turnersville, New Jersey, seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee staff medical technologists and technicians, coordinate daily testing, and maintain lab standards. Under the supervision of the divisional Laboratory Director or Manager, you will ensure regulatory compliance, train personnel, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians and nurses on patient cases.

The role may bench test when needed and requires an Associate's degree, 7 years of lab experience, and CP-BC

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field is preferred.
• 7 years related experience in a medical laboratory setting are required.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• CP-BC - Clinical Pathologist-Board Certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations and supervision of technical staff in the laboratory, including performance appraisal and feedback.
• Develops and maintains laboratory guidelines, procedure manuals, and quality control.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with TJC, CAP, OSHA, DOH, and FDA; oversees budgets and cost control.
• Consults with physicians and laboratory staff to interpret technical studies and troubleshoot.
