Job summary

Everport Terminal Services is seeking an Operations Labor Manager to oversee longshore labor, optimize cargo handling, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across terminal operations. The role requires leadership of a diverse workforce, effective labor relations management with PMA, and disciplined cost control.

You will direct labor allocation, manage disciplinary actions, and coordinate with multiple operation teams to maximize yard space and productivity while maintaining high safety

• Proficient in interpreting union contracts and labor-management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead ILWU labor management to maximize efficiency and control labor costs.
• Coordinate safety compliance with PCMSC and related regulations; investigate incidents.
• Oversee hiring, scheduling, discipline, and payroll adjustments for longshore labor.
• Direct labor allocation across vessel gangs, yard, and gate functions to optimize throughput.
• Prepare reports on shift production, safety incidents, and labor performance.
