Job summary

University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a Labor Relations Consultant to support the Program Director, Labor Relations. You will foster relations with labor unions, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with labor laws and CBAs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of professional HR experience in labor relations, with the ability to handle high-volume environments while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of professional human resources experience in labor relations.
• Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support to the Program Director, Labor Relations.
• Foster positive relationships with labor unions and leadership.
• Assist in resolving union disputes and ensuring compliance with laws and collective bargaining agreements.
