University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking a Labor Relations Consultant within the UHR Labor Relations team. The role provides professional support to the Program Director, Labor Relations, and focuses on fostering positive relationships with labor unions, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and CBAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years of professional HR experience in the areas of employee or labor relations.
• Additional work experience may substitute for up to four (4) years of education.
• Knowledge of HR policies and procedures, and federal, state, and applicable HR laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of employment laws including collective bargaining and employer-employee relations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
