Permanent Placements LLC is representing a national law firm seeking a mid-level Labor & Employment Associate (4–6 years). The role focuses on traditional labor matters and labor-management relations with opportunities across the West Coast and Alaska.

The attorney will advise employers, handle NLRB matters, and collaborate with a cross-office team on sophisticated labor issues while gaining client exposure and hands-on responsibility.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in the applicable jurisdiction or eligible for admission.
• 4–5 years of labor and employment experience.
• Experience representing employers in traditional labor matters.
• Prior experience before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Advise and represent employers in traditional labor matters, incl. union campaigns and bargaining negotiations.
• Represent clients before the NLRB.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, briefs, and other advocacy materials.
• Counsel on labor relations, workplace compliance, and employment issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex matters.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with practical legal advice.
• Contribute to business development and thought leadership efforts.
