Job summary

JBA International seeks a Labor and Employment Mid-Level Associate for its Los Angeles office in a hybrid role. The candidate should have 3–5 years of substantive employment litigation experience, including wage and hour defense, and a penchant for trial work. Transactional employment experience, including drafting employment and severance agreements, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of substantive experience in employment litigation.
• Experience in wage and hour defenses and class actions is desirable.
• Experience in transactional employment work, including drafting of employment and severance agreements.
• Drafting EEOC statements, DFEH responses, witness interviews and depositions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration practice in the California office (Los Angeles).
• Handle employment litigation matters with a focus on trial work.
• Draft workplace policies and assist with employment training programs.
• Counsel employers on federal and state employment law compliance, including wage and hour issues.
