Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year obstetric, labor and delivery, or surgical tech experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or facility requirements.
• CST certification preferred or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares labor and delivery rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Assists physicians and nursing staff during deliveries and obstetric procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and follows infection prevention protocols.
• Ensures availability and proper functioning of obstetric equipment.
• Assists with patient positioning and preparation as directed.
• Handles and organizes medical supplies and instruments.
• Supports emergency obstetric procedures and maintains readiness of delivery areas.
• Follows patient safety standards and maintains accurate procedural documentation.
