Job summary

Sharp HealthCare seeks an Obstetric Technician at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, CA. The OB Tech is a paraprofessional caregiver within Maternal-Child Health Services, supporting obstetric procedures and patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of labor and delivery experience with surgical skills, and AHA BLS for Healthcare Professionals. It is covered by a SEIU CBA with weekend on-call duties and a 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience with surgical skills.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and uphold infection control.
• Assist with OB operating room setup and scrub role for obstetric procedures (e.g., Cesarean, tubal ligations, cerclage).
• Support delivery and postoperative care under RN supervision and ensure instrument sterility and proper sterilization.
