Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking an OB Surgical Technician to support labor, delivery, recovery, and obstetrical procedures. You will prepare rooms, maintain sterile fields, and assist during cesarean sections and deliveries.

The role requires knowledge of sterile technique, BLS, and strong teamwork and communication skills. You will help care for mothers and newborns before and after procedures and ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred; an Associate's/technical degree is preferred.
• Surgical Technician or Obstetrical Technician certification preferred; BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention and patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient rooms, delivery suites and operating rooms for procedures.
• Maintain sterile fields and assist with surgical setup using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians and nurses during labor, delivery, cesarean sections, and obstetrical surgeries.
• Prepare, position, transport, transfer, and discharge patients safely.
• Assist with patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collect specimens and record vital signs and intake/output as assigned.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Participate in surgical safety protocols, including timeouts.
• Maintain supplies, equipment and cleanliness of patient care areas.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
