Job summary

Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA seeks an OB Surgical Technologist to support Labor and Delivery procedures under close supervision. You will assist with OB surgical procedures, scrubbing in, and helping prepare rooms and equipment to ensure safe patient care.

The role involves assisting nurses, stocking rooms, transporting patients, and training new staff. Candidates should have a Surgical Technologist degree or cert, BCLS certification, and prior scrub experience.

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BCLS required.
• Previous surgical scrub experience required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Surgical technologist degree or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with OB surgical procedures and deliveries under supervision.
• Assist in scrub duties and orientation/education of new personnel.
• Assist RN before, during and after deliveries with patient and room care, setup and cleaning.
• Restock operating and delivery rooms and check emergency equipment.
• Assist RN with transporting patients and belongings and perform clerical duties as assigned.
