UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC, is hiring a Surgical Technologist I for the Labor and Delivery team. The 36-hour work week includes day/night rotation and weekends, supporting safe, quality care during labor, delivery and recovery.

You will prepare surgical suites, maintain sterile technique, and assist with C-sections under surgeon and nurse supervision. The role requires knowledge of sterile procedures, strong team communication, and the ability to work in a high‑volume Level III unit

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• 0–3 years of surgical technologist experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs technical skill duties in operating room areas with standard practices.
• Maintains sterile instruments, handles and sterilizes equipment.
• Follows aseptic technique and reports discrepancies.
• Assists in intraoperative nursing and with surgeon during procedures.
