UNC Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to support the operating room team at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. You will assist surgeons and nurses, maintain sterile technique, and ensure readiness of instruments and supplies for invasive procedures.

The role requires 0-3 years of experience, BLS certification, and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing program. This is a full-time, onsite position with weekend work and a competitive pay range.

Qualificações

• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation are essential.
• Excellent organizational and priority-setting abilities.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the surgeon and surgical team during operative procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe handling of instruments.
• Performs sterile technique and prepares and organizes instruments and supplies.
• Performs surgical counts and reports discrepancies.
• Assists in labeling drugs and solutions and handling specimens.
• Mentors Surgical Technician Trainees as needed.
