Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a scrub assistant to participate in Cesarean section deliveries and Labor & Delivery patient care. You will maintain aseptic technique, handle instruments, and support the surgical team throughout shifts. Cooperation with nurses and physicians is essential to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, stocking supplies, assisting with births, and maintaining logs. Commitment to patient privacy and safety is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of orientation to the above departments.
• Successful completion of birthplace operating room techniques.
• Basic Cardiac Support Certification.
• Complete MAH Annual Safety Program.

Responsabilités

• Prepares C/S room and supplies.
• Maintains aseptic technique throughout the case.
• Assists with setting up for deliveries and stocking L&D/C/S rooms and equipment.
• Assists nurse in obtaining equipment and paperwork.
• Draws, labels and delivers blood work as needed.
• Organizes and restocks required supplies.
• Communicates effectively with the health care team.
• Maintains birth/admission logs and supports shift change reports.
• Acts as a liaison between L&D and support services.
