Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Surgical Birth Scrub Assistant to support the obstetric and operating room teams during cesarean deliveries and labor/delivery procedures. You will maintain aseptic technique, prepare the C/S room, and assist the surgical team under the direction of registered nurses.

The role requires equipment handling, readiness, blood-work coordination, and strict adherence to MAH policies. Strong teamwork and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of birthplace operating room techniques.
• Successful completion of orientation to the above departments.
• Basic Cardiac Support Certification.
• Complete MAH Annual Safety Program.

Responsabilités

• Prepares C/S room in acceptable time.
• Maintains aseptic technique throughout the case.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves according to policy.
• Assist with prepping and draping according to procedure.
• Anticipates needs of surgical team.
• Demonstrates skill in proper handling of instruments.
• Performs counts according to MAH policy.
• Draws, labels, and delivers necessary blood work to the appropriate area.
