Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Perioperative Aide to support the nursing staff under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will perform a variety of tasks for which you are trained, maintaining a safe and clean operating room environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties competently maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and handles sterile supplies and instruments accordingly.
• Cleans and reports equipment that is out of order to the charge nurse.
• Manages ordering and par level of OR inventory with the business/materials supervisor.
• Reports observations, patient complaints and other pertinent information to the charge nurse as needed.
