Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Labor and Delivery RN position at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX seeks a clinician to monitor mothers and newborns before, during, and after childbirth. Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with full-time weekend availability are required.

Candidates should hold a current RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP within stated windows, fetal monitoring credentials, and preferred BSN. Sign-on bonus of up to $20K is available for qualified applicants. Comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Maternal Monitoring: monitor blood pressure, heart rate, temp, SpO2 for mom and baby.
• Labor Support: assist with positioning, breathing, comfort measures.
• IV Therapy: start and maintain IVs for hydration, meds, anesthesia.
• Patient Advocacy: support patient birth plans and cultural needs.
• Newborn Care: assess Apgar, cord clamping, prophylactic meds.
• Coordinate with care team during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Education

BSN degree preferred
