Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX seeks an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D RN) to support mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with deliveries, and educate families within a dynamic obstetric team.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications, with BSN preferred.

Competenze

Current and valid state RN License.
BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.

Mansioni

Maternal Monitoring: check blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, monitor for complications.
Labor Support: assist with positioning, breathing techniques, comfort measures.
IV Therapy: start and maintain IVs for hydration, medications, or anesthesia.
Patient Advocacy: act as advocate during labor for birth plans or cultural needs.
Newborn Care: assess baby, Apgar scoring, cord clamping, prophylactic meds.
Coordinate with healthcare team for antepartum and postpartum care.
