Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX is seeking a Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse. The RN will ensure safe, efficient patient care and support nursing teams during daytime 12-hour shifts on the Labor and Delivery unit.

Ideal candidates hold a current state RN license, BSN preferred, BLS within 30 days, NRP within 90 days, and supervisory experience. A $20,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic fetal monitoring within 60 days and maintain current.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a specialty setting.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Specialty certification within 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing staff and ensure quality patient care during shift.
• Communicate with Director/House Supervisor about events and risk management.
• Utilize staffing resources, assist with scheduling and assignments.
• Supervise staff, conduct evaluations, and assist HR activities.
• Coordinate with other managers to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assess care delivery and adjust plans to ensure safety and compliance.
