Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Labor Registered Nurse to join the Perinatal team in Idaho Falls, ID. Provides direct patient care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum with emphasis on antenatal and postnatal care and family-centered planning.

Qualified candidates have Idaho RN licensure, BLS, and NRP/ACLS/STABLE within specified timeframes. Experience in labor/postpartum settings is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing school with Idaho RN license.
• BLS certification required; NRP within 6 months; ACLS and STABLE within 6 months; QMP-OB or EFM training.
• 3 years labor/postpartum experience preferred.
• Proficiency with fetal monitoring and IV therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum settings.
• Assess and plan individualized patient care; communicate changes in condition to providers.
• Provide family-centered care and support to mother and baby.
• Document care in EMR per policy and standards (AWHONN-based).
• Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe delivery.
• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and maintain safety and infection control standards.
