Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls seeks a Postpartum Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Recovery and Postpartum setting for mothers and infants. You will assess patients, plan individualized care, and communicate changes in condition to providers, while supporting family-centered care and ongoing learning.

The role emphasizes neonatal assessments, resuscitation competency within 90 days, and adherence to perinatal care standards, with opportunities for education

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Idaho RN license.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within 2 weeks of hire.
• NRP, ACLS, and STABLE certifications within 6 months of hire.
• BBNC certification within 12 months of hire.
• Mother Baby and Infant feeding competency prior to completion of orientation and biannual labs.
• Working knowledge of perinatal anatomy and patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct postpartum and mother-baby unit care with family-centered focus.
• Assess mother and neonate, perform head-to-toe exams, and monitor vitals.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation per current guidelines and complete competency within 90 days.
• Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient response.
• Communicate with providers about changes in condition and test results.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
