Job summary

MountainView Hospital, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV seeks an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team of healthcare professionals.

You will provide intraoperative care to each patient based on individual needs and collaborate with physicians to improve patient outcomes. You will communicate changes in patients' clinical condition, respond quickly to changes, maintain patient charts, and participate in performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent
• Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada
• Current BLS required
• ACLS certification required within six (6) months of Hire/Transfer
• NRP required within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer
• S.T.A.B.L.E. current certification must be obtained within 6 months of Hire/Transfer
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation
• Minimum of 1-year recent labor and delivery nursing experience in a comparable unit
• Proficiency in surgical suite nursing procedures and skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure
• Perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
• Participate in performance improvement activities
• Act as the patient’s advocate, as circumstances require
