Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit at White Oak Medical Center. The RN will educate patients and families, serve as a role model to Level I nurses, and uphold ANA standards of practice while honoring the organization’s faith-based values.

You will develop care plans, monitor patient changes, mentor colleagues, and participate in evidence-based practice improvements, with day shifts (6:45 am–7:15 pm) over three 12-hour shifts per week

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsabilidades

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care and support their knowledge and skills.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice with Adventist HealthCare values.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population and condition.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in evidence-based practice changes.
