GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Test Systems & Instrumentation Engineer in Louisville, KY. You will design and maintain data acquisition systems and support instrumentation for home laundry, dishwasher, and burn room labs.

Collaborate with engineers, technicians and the Digital Technology team to deploy Yokogawa GP-Pro, DewesoftX and related tools, develop automation scripts in Python or C++, and ensure accurate, repeatable test results.

Competenze

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems or lab testing environments.
• Experience programming in Python, LabVIEW, VEE or C++ for data acquisition and instrument control.
• Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization.
• Experience with root cause analysis and electrical troubleshooting.

Mansioni

• Design and maintain data acquisition systems to ensure accurate, repeatable, and reliable collection of test data.
• Diagnose and resolve instrumentation, sensor, communication, and data acquisition issues to minimize laboratory downtime.
• Update instrumentation for AP1, AP3 and Burn Room as required for updates to test standards or drivers.
• Install, configure, and maintain instrumentation software platforms including Yokogawa GP-Pro, DewesoftX, and other data acquisition applications.
• Support programming of Environmental Test Chambers or PLCs.
• Work with Digital Technology team to setup IP addresses and ports for lab computers and enable monitored remote viewing by OEM on lab computers.
• Develop and maintain software tools, scripts, and automation solutions using Python, VBA, C++, or similar languages.
• Setup new computers with lab instrumentation software and ensure automatic updates/reboots are disabled.
