Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Test in Louisville, KY. The role leads the planning and deployment of advanced electrical, instrumentation, and test systems across the manufacturing network.

You will drive collaboration between project teams and test platform developers, scale data-driven insights for operations, and guide DFMA/DFT integration with product design. Travel to satellite facilities is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
7+ years hands-on test or controls engineering in large-scale manufacturing.
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science is preferred.
Experience with NPI, systems integration, and equipment interfaces.
Proven design/deployment of factory equipment for data exchange, AutoID (barcode/RFID).
Proficient with Windows/Linux, software concepts, and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead design/implementation of electrical, instrumentation, and test systems used in manufacturing and labs.
Act as bridge between equipment projects and test platform developers to ensure clear requirements and deployment.
Introduce scalable technologies that convert test data into actionable operational insights.
Assess sensors and test methods for quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Partner with design teams to integrate DFMA and DFT into part development.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional partners.
