Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Procurement Manager for the Gateway department. This role provides general supervision to staff and directs procurement test management to ensure high quality and cost-effective services.

You will hire and train staff, monitor budgets, ensure accreditation and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize patient specimen processing and test operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least three years of phlebotomy or processing experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Experience in a leadership role or management training programs.
• Evidence of increasing responsibility in personnel and financial management.
• Knowledge of commonly used software concepts and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, and supervises the workflow for department staff.
• Provides leadership, coaching, recognition, and conducts evaluations.
• Manages department budgets and expenditure controls.
• Ensures accreditation and regulatory compliance (CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, CLIA, OSHA).
• Leads task forces to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Acts as liaison with internal/external customers regarding results and inquiries.
