Job summary

Banner Health in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead the Procurement-Gateway team within the hospital laboratory ecosystem. The role oversees phlebotomy and processing workflows during the 1pm–9:30pm shift, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, budget management, and adherence to CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, CLIA, and OSHA standards. You will coordinate cross-functional tasks and act as a key information liaison for customers

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED with at least three years of phlebotomy or processing in a clinical lab.
Leadership experience or participation in management training is required.
Experience managing personnel, budgets and organization is required.
Strong communication, analytical and regulatory knowledge across labs.
Ability to prioritize, multitask and work under regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Hires, trains, and supervises departmental staff and workflow.
Oversees financial activities and budgeting for the department.
Ensures CAP/CMS/AABB/CLIA/FDA compliance and OSHA safety standards.
Leads task forces to improve service quality and efficiency.
Serves as liaison with internal and external customers regarding results and inquiries.
