Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Lab Supervisor at the Sun City facility (Lab-Boswell) for day shifts. This role provides general operational supervision under the direction of the director/manager to assigned personnel.

You will organize, direct and control workflow, improving processes to deliver high quality and cost-effective services, while training staff and applying Lean, Six Sigma concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years’ training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
• Preference for MLS or Specialty Certification and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, evaluates staff and manages workflow with leadership and Six Sigma/Lean methods.
• Schedules and manages labor and resources within budgetary guidelines; supports waste reduction.
• Ensures accreditation and licensing compliance (CAP, CMS, AABB, FDA, CLIA) for patient care and safety.
• Leads task forces to plan, implement and coordinate activities to maximize service quality and efficiency.
• Serves as liaison to facilitate timely and accurate information dissemination within the organization.
