Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Lab Associate I for a Monday-to-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rotational weekend coverage. The role supports laboratory operations, including sample preparation, labeling, and data entry, with a pay range starting at $17.20 per hour.

Eligible employees may receive annual performance bonuses. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic lab equipment knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of operating non-complex equipment.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; some college encouraged.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and good typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing, including racking and aliquoting.
• Labels, handles, and stores specimens and ensures proper transportation.
• Maintains equipment and assists with preventive maintenance.
• Performs data entry and supports documentation for review.
• Supports quality control procedures and records management.
• Keeps laboratory areas neat, clean, and compliant with safety policies.
