Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Associate II in Lenexa, KS, with a Monday–Friday schedule and rotating Saturdays. The role involves preparing samples, labeling and handling specimens, data entry, and supporting licensed personnel in testing activities.

The position emphasizes accuracy, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration within a busy laboratory environment. A Bachelor's degree in a life science is preferred, with relevant lab experience required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of histopathology, cytology or other laboratory experience.
• 1 year of experience handling PHI and other patient information using LIS.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma with 2-3 years of lab experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes samples for testing (e.g., sample racking, aliquoting, tube preparation).
• Labels, handles, processes or prepares and stores specimens.
• Performs data entry and prepares reports for licensed personnel’s review.
• Assists licensed personnel or delegated supervisor in pre-analytic and post-analytic testing activities.
• Trains other Lab Associates and supports training programs.
