Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Indianapolis seeking a Lab Assistant II for a Saturday to Monday shift from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Pay starts at $17.20 per hour, with eligibility for annual performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

The role involves specimen receiving, labeling, pre-analytical prep, LIS data entry, and routine instrument maintenance. Requires one year of lab experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualificações

• One year of full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.
• Ability to stand at the bench for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in lab safety and handling procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens; print labels, uncap/cap tubes, aliquot specimens, prepare racks, enter/scan specimens and load instruments.
• Record digital temperature and notify licensed personnel if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Assist in preparation of chemicals, reagents and solutions.
• Clean, organize and maintain work area, glassware and equipment.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems (LIS) and perform QA/QC duties.
• Comply with health and safety policies and use PPE; complete training and competency checklists.
